Classification and characteristics of wringing mops

A wringer mop is a type of hands-free mop, an improvement on the traditional cloth mop. Its wringing mechanism typically uses a ratchet structure, where the mop head is tightened and dehydrated by rotating the lever in one direction, and loosened in the other. Its structure is simpler than a sponge mop.

Compared to sponge mops, wringer mops are less prone to clumping; compared to bucket mops, they are lighter and less space-consuming; and compared to electric mops, they are also lightweight. Wringer mops have a large water absorption capacity and excellent water absorption effect, requiring less force to operate, making them relatively effortless. Their separate design for cleaning and soiling allows for mopping the entire house without changing the water. However, the wringing effect is generally not as good as a bucket mop, and if the wringing mechanism is made of plastic, its durability may be insufficient, and the mop head may still be semi-dry after wringing.

Due to its lightweight and space-saving characteristics, wringer mops are especially suitable for small apartments.
