The mop head is primarily made of high-density PVA foam, featuring numerous internal pores for instant water absorption, high absorbency, and durability. The surface often has grooved designs to facilitate the removal of dust and hair. Some products utilize new materials, such as EU SGS-certified fully biodegradable hydrophilic polyurethane or the new F22 cotton head, which does not harden over time.
Squeezing methods include butterfly wringing and pull-out wringing mechanisms, designed for thorough and effortless wringing. The mop head is typically designed with a 70-degree contact angle to increase the cleaning area. Some products allow for 180° or 360° rotation of the mop head, facilitating cleaning confined spaces and supporting both wet and dry use. The mop handle is typically 118 cm long and is not extendable.
